What: Psychedelic-looking nightclub with a friendly vibe and sound levels that certainly qualify as blasting.

Look: Red, yellow... and pink! Q Bar’s interior designer and lightning engineer obviously have no sense of moderation. Don’t be surprised if your eyes feel a bit dazzled. Lines and lines of red couches occupy the space, while go-go girls take over the small platforms, all shaking to the heavy beats from resident DJ Missile Myles.

Music: Breaks, electro, and, well, progressive electro.

People: This is a place more for group outings than solo drinking. Young, casually dressed party animals – get the dice rolling!

What: Sophisticated new nail haven offering everything your nails, hands, and feet could imagine. If they could imagine.

Look: Forget everything about decorative nail clutter, Q-nail is slick and lavish. With its red, gold, brown and black walls, and a limited light, the place feels dark, calming, and extremely atmospheric. Thick leather armchairs, complete with marble stone foot baths, mean taking a seat needs little persuasion.

Treatments: Q-nail staff are polite and careful when they are polishing your nails to perfection, and expect them to use nothing else but high-end nail products like OPI, LCN, and Cuccio. We loved the LCN Aromatics Hand Treatment (100 mins, ¥480 with a manicure), as well as the standard pedicure (70 mins, ¥150), which includes exfoliation and a brief foot massage.

Don’t miss: Getting your nails done in one of the two theme rooms – the Tibet room or the Peacock room. Both rooms have been designed accordingly, especially the Peacock room, which sports real peacock feathers as its wall covering.
